A Little About Me

I grew up in the humble Biggest Little City of Reno, Nevada, where I also attended the University of Nevada, Reno. After receiving my B.A. in Journalism and B.S. in Marketing, I moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where I met my lovely boyfriend, Tristan. During the week, you’ll catch me recipe testing (shoutout to Tristan for being the best dishwasher on the West Coast), and on the weekends you’ll find us exploring our local food scene with our sweet pup, Rex.

The kitchen has always been my happy place. When I was younger, I loved to bake cookies and pound cakes with my sister. As I got older, I started experimenting with healthy alternatives in my baking and cooking, and that morphed into a lifestyle that I love. Prioritizing health and using wholesome, nutrient-dense ingredients in my cooking and baking makes me feel my absolute best. After much research and experimentation, I’ve found that a lot of the additives in our foods today cause more harm than good, so I focus on steering clear of processed foods as much as possible. The recipes you’ll find throughout my blog strive to be as beneficial as they are delicious.

In August of 2024, I left my full-time job as a project manager to pursue food blogging, media, and recipe creation.
