Description
This easy cauliflower crust pizza recipe makes a delicious gluten-free pizza crust that you can enjoy immediately or freeze for later use!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 Bag (340g) Frozen Riced Cauliflower
- 1 Egg
- 1 tsp Oregano
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F
- Prepare Your Cauliflower Rice: Start by placing your frozen riced cauliflower on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and placing it in the oven for roughly 15 minutes. This will help you extract any excess liquids from the riced cauliflower in the next step. Remove and allow to cool to a temperature that is comfortable to handle.
- Strain Liquids From Riced Cauliflower: Once cooled to a comfortable temperature, transfer your cauliflower rice to a nut milk bag or cheese cloth and wring any excess liquid out of your cauliflower rice. Once the liquids have been removed, discard that excess liquid and place your cauliflower rice back in your empty bowl.
- Create Your Cauliflower Crust Dough: In your bowl, add your egg, oregano, salt, pepper, and grated Parmesan or Pecorino cheese (whichever you prefer) to your dough. Mix well until the dough is completely combined.
- Shape and Bake Your Dough: Place your dough on a parchment-lined baking sheet in whatever shape you would like. I did a heart shape for Valentine’s Day, but you can do a circle, square – whatever you want! Flatten your dough down evenly and place it back in the oven for 15-20 minutes until it starts to get a light golden color on the top.
- Add Your Toppings and Finish Baking: Once your cauliflower crust is showing signs of a light golden top layer, remove it from the oven and add your sauce and other toppings of choice! For my pizza, I made a simple homemade red sauce and fresh mozzarella, then added Cremini Mushrooms and Artichokes to the top as well. Finish your cauliflower crust pizza off with a light olive oil drizzle, and place it back in the oven for 10-12 minutes minutes until your toppings are baked.
- Serve and Enjoy: Remove your pizza from the oven and allow it to cool for 5-10 minutes before cutting, plating, and serving. Enjoy your homemade cauliflower crust pizza!
