Description
This Honey Lavender Almond Milk is a delicious, dairy-free milk that adds a bright and beautiful flavor to your morning coffee, tea, or latte!
Ingredients
For the Lavender-Infused Water:
3/4 c Hot Water
3 tbsp Dried Lavender Flowers
For the Almond Milk:
1 1/2 c Almonds
1 1/4 c Fresh Drinking Water
3/4 c Lavender-Infused Water
1/4 c Raw Honey
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
Pinch of Salt
Instructions
- Prepare Your Almonds: Start by soaking your almonds in water for at least 3 hours, or overnight if possible until they’re soft enough to blend. Once they’re soft, rinse and strain your almonds and add them to your blender with 3 cups of fresh drinking water
- Make Your Lavender Water: Infuse your water with lavender by adding your lavender flowers to hot water in a jar. Allow the flowers and water to sit for a few minutes, then place your lid on the jar, give it a shake, and let your lavender infuse the water for 3 hours or overnight for best results. Once infused, strain the lavender from your water and you’ll have a light purple lavender infused-water.
- Add Your Flavors: Add your almonds, lavender infused water, vanilla, honey, and salt to your blender with your almonds and water and blend until smooth (30 seconds to 1 minute).
- Strain Your Almond Milk: Place your nut milk bag (or a tea towel) over a large bowl and dump your honey lavender almond milk mixture into it. Using your hands, wring out the bag until all of the liquid is strained into the bowl.
- Serve Your Honey Lavender Almond Milk: Transfer your Lavender Honey Almond Milk to a pouring dish with a lid and enjoy in your coffee, lattes, or even on its own! This will keep in the refrigerator for 5-7 days.
Notes
Lavender-Infused Water Note: The flavor here is subtle but it will come through in the almond milk. For a stronger flavor, allow the lavender to sit in the water for a longer period of time.
